Argyle BIA Scavenger Hunt
(this event is now known as “I ♥ Argyle”)
What was the event?
Set at 12 businesses through the Argyle area, we had people hunting for jokes. People were to go to the businesses listed on the Scavenger Hunt map and take a selfie with the joke posted there.
For each location they took a picture with, a ballot was entered into a draw to win one of the 5 gift baskets we put together showcasing our local businesses, each worth $150!
When was it held?
August 2020

With COVID shutting down a lot of events for 2020, we thought hard on how to keep it safe as well as fun. People were to go to the businesses on the Scavenger Hunt map and take a selfie with the joke posted there. The goal of this event was to give people a laugh while they got better acquainted with the businesses in the area.
August 2021

Even with the vaccine making the public safer, we still had event concerns with the COVID delta variant around. So, as we did last year, we tried to keep this event as safe as it was fun.
Letters to Santa
(this event is now known as “Santa Social”)
What was the event?
This event came about due to COVID when we weren’t able to hold our annual Santa Claus Parade. We wanted to find another way for the Argyle kids to see Santa and what we came up with was a virtual meet and greet.
We had kids send along their letters to Santa before the event and then had Santa read them out. Some lucky kids even got a phone call from Saint Nick, himself!
When was it held?
December of 2020 and 2021

This event was first held in 2020 and then again in 2021 before we expanded the event and renamed it the “Santa Social”
June 2019 – Heart and Stroke Campaign

The Argyle BIA partnered with the Heart and Stroke Foundation this June to run a month-long giveaway series on social media for stroke awareness month. Several businesses of the BIA generously came together, donating eights fantastic gift baskets for the cause. Contests were held for each of the prizes on the Argyle BIA Facebook page, with the hope of raising awareness for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The event was a success and the BIA thanks all businesses and participants for helping to support a great cause.
August of 2017 and 2018 – Family Fun Day in the Heart of Argyle

Held at Mildred Barons Park, Family Fun Day brought our BIA members and the community together for a day of family fun!
The event featured HUGE inflatable obstacle courses, giant games like Connect 4, inflatables for toddlers, music, face painting, and much more! The 81st Scouts cooked up a delicious BBQ lunch for the community and our volunteers.
The first 200 families that showed up received a FREE giveaway bag with coupons from the Argyle BIA businesses! There were also several chances to win some amazing raffle prizes, courtesy of many of the businesses in the Argyle BIA!
